Human Rights Initiatives

Human Rights Policy

MJC Group is dedicated to fostering a sustainable and prosperous society, guided by “Contributing widely to society with electronic measurement technology” as MJC Mission in our Corporate Philosophy.
Our Human Rights Policy aligns with our “QDCCSS” and “QDCCSS2.0” as Our Values (QDCCSS is pronounced “qu-dacks”). It focuses on fulfilling our responsibilities to the environment and society while ensuring full compliance with laws and high safety standards by upholding “Safety” (prioritizing the occupational and product safety) and “Sympathy” (acting with empathy and gratitude), which are 2 parts of Our Values of “QDCCSS” and “QDCCSS2.0”. We aim to create a workplace where every employee feels secure and show our appreciation to everyone involved in our business through our actions.

What we value most
QDCCSS + QDCCSS2.0

Our core value set, “QDCCSS”, was developed to build trust and confidence with our customers and has remained a fundamental part of our organization for many years. In response to shifts in our business environment and feedback from employees, we have also introduced “QDCCSS2.0” as a new set of values to support future growth. By focusing on “what we value most” as the main driver of our development, we will continue to work toward achieving both the “MJC Mission” and the “MJC Future Vision.”
Furthermore, we have published a Compliance Handbook as a definitive code of conduct, and we consider respect for human rights throughout all business activities to be an essential component of fulfilling our social responsibilities.

Policy on Unreasonable or Abusive Conduct by Customers and Business Partners

MJC Group is committed to business relationships based on mutual trust, respect, and dignity. MJC Group recognizes that unreasonable or abusive conduct by customers or business partners may harm the working environment of its officers, employees and other personnel and, in serious cases, may also raise human rights concerns. MJC Group values legitimate opinions, requests and complaints as opportunities to improve its business. At the same time, MJC Group will respond to unreasonable or abusive conduct as an organization, rather than leaving the matter to individual officers or employees. In this Policy, such conduct includes what is commonly referred to in Japan as “customer harassment.”

01Definition and Examples of Conduct

For the purposes of this Policy, “unreasonable or abusive conduct by customers and business partners” means conduct or demands that exceed socially acceptable standards in light of their content, means or manner, and adversely affect the working environment of MJC Group officers, employees or other personnel. Legitimate requests based on contracts, business practices or facts will not be treated as such conduct merely because they are made.
Customers and business partners include customers, transaction counterparties, suppliers, distributors, contractors, subcontractors, cooperating companies, business alliance partners, parties under contract negotiation, and other parties involved in MJC Group’s business. Examples include:

  • Demands that significantly exceed contractual terms, specifications, warranties or support scope
  • Unfounded demands for damages, discounts, free services or shortened delivery schedules
  • Improper demands made by using the continuation of business, orders, evaluations, inspections or payments as leverage
  • Violence, threats, insults, abusive language, personal attacks or intimidating behavior
  • Excessively long, repeated or persistent demands for responses or meetings
  • Unauthorized recording, photographing, publication, defamation or other conduct that harms reputation, including through social media
  • Sexual, discriminatory or other conduct that undermines the dignity or personality of employees or other personnel

02Assessment Criteria

The MJC Group will assess such conduct by considering the reasonableness of the demand, the manner of communication, the background, frequency and continuity of the conduct, and its impact on the working environment.

03 Basic Position of MJC Group

  • MJC Group respects legitimate opinions, requests and complaints and will respond to them sincerely and reasonably.
  • MJC Group does not tolerate unreasonable or abusive conduct and will protect the safety, health, dignity and personality of its officers, employees and other personnel.
  • MJC Group will respond as an organization, in cooperation with supervisors and relevant departments, rather than leaving such matters to individual employees.
  • In cases of malicious conduct, MJC Group may take necessary measures, including suspending responses, changing the contact point, reviewing transaction terms, discontinuing transactions, or consulting external experts or relevant authorities.
  • MJC Group will not subject any person who consults or reports in good faith to disadvantageous treatment.

04Request to Customers, Business Partners and Related Parties

We ask all customers, business partners and related parties to understand this Policy and to help MJC Group maintain constructive communication based on mutual trust and respect.
